Shawn Jackman (Jack) CWNE#54 is a personal friend and has been a mentor to me for many years.  I've had the pleasure and opportunity to work with Jack for 4 years. Jack is a great teacher who takes complex 802.11 standards and breaks them down so almost anyone can understand the concept at hand. I'm excited for you brother. Great job and job well done! Put another notch in the belt!

Lab Exam Topics

Please review the Lab Exam Overview for general information about the CCIE Wireless Lab Exam. The exam topics are a detailed outline of the content areas likely to appear on the lab exam. Knowledge of troubleshooting is an important skill and candidates are expected to diagnose and solve issues as part of the CCIE lab exam. The topics listed are guidelines and other relevant or related topics may also appear. In general, new product features become eligible for testing on CCIE lab exams six months after general release.

Lab Exam Preparation Checklists

To further assist  candidates preparing for CCIE certification, Cisco has provided a  detailed preparation checklist, containing an expanded list of the  skills and tasks expected at the expert level.  Candidates can use the  checklists to guide the hands-on practice necessary for success on the  CCIE lab exam.

CCIE Wireless Lab  Exam Checklist

Lab Equipment and Software

The lab exam requires a depth of understanding difficult to obtain without hands-on experience. Early in your preparation, you should arrange access to the equipment and the Cisco IOS Software versions indicated.

Training

There are no formal prerequisites for CCIE certification. Other professional certifications or training courses are not required. Instead, candidates must first pass a written qualification exam and then the corresponding hands-on lab exam. You are expected to have an in-depth understanding of the content areas in the exam topics and strongly encouraged to have three to five years of job experience before attempting certification. You can review the exam preparation materials included on this page for more information.

Locate authorized Cisco Learning Partners at the Global Learning Partner Locator.
